To the members at Prays Mill; Ask
yourself. Do I really feel like I have worshiped God
when I leave the church on Sunday Morning's. Or do I
feel like I have been beat down. Is your heart joyful
or unsettled? Until someone has
back bone enough to stand up to Mike Everson you all are
going to be trapped into his (my way or no way) Not
Gods way. Mike thinks he has everyone scared of him, but
who really cares? There are a lot of people praying for
Mike. May God have mercy on him.......
"Supporter"
..We see through Mike's
messages very clear as he preaches on Jesus, Apostle Paul and uses the
bible's text to make him seem like the victim and his attempts to justify
his actions in our church while he and the deacons scheme against
their "enemies". The members here at Pray's Mill see right through this garbage
and your message is becoming more and more clear as the weeks go by. It is
very clear his preaching tactics and sermons are directed towards you and we
are getting fed up with his tirades from the pulpit at my church!."
"Supporter"
".. I wonder why he
never uses his charts and graphs showing our attendance and our tithe's and
offerings now like he did when he did when he first arrived. I think
it is probably because the charts and graphs would not justify his or the
other ministers outrageous salaries we are paying them. We are almost back
to where we started in both attendance and offerings. Now he is giving them
off on Fridays but I guarantee you he did not cut their pay for taking this
day off. This is stealing from God!"...

"and now
he brags from the pulpit about others seeing him being
so happy at the Grocery store. Brother, if I got paid
$160,000 per year in salary and benefits, lived in a
$450,000 + home, able to buy whatever food I wanted at
that expensive Grocery Store, pay the bills easily and
without any worries, drive a $50,000 vehicle with
everything taken care of by the church, got to go on the
vacations, conventions, and conferences he does, preach
for 35 minutes twice on Sunday and - "when he is here"
--- 30 minutes on Wednesday nights, and uses our tithe's
& offerings / God's money in the selfish ways he does, I
would "always BE happy" too!"

"In a
sense these false teachings have caused family division
for years and continue to do so. I am totally grateful
that some of you are now out of bondage to this man and
his teachings although this type of thing is not
confined to Prays Mill. I trust that the rest of my
loved ones will be set free as well that still attend
there. I am so sorry for the pain you and your family
have endured through all this but the truth sure sets
you free. I think prophesy is being fulfilled and the
sifting has begun. I hope the church age is soon to end
and the kingdom age will begin and this can only happen
when Gods people seek and find the truth. I know you are
speaking the truth."

I was in .... Sunday
School class and then ..... I to left Prays Mill in
Dec. 2006.( Hope they don't throw me out :-)) I heard
several things before I read your letters, but mostly I
could see things for myself. Especially, how the "lack
of " ministry - I guess is how I should put it.....
Anyway, I will keep this short - but a lot of people
stand with you on this. I too believe that Mike Everson
and his "team" should all be dismissed from Prays Mill
before there is nothing left of a Church that has been
there for so many years. It is so sad! My son was in
the Ric's youth group and he said something about
another teenager and blamed it on my son - he lied about
my son and my son has never had anything to do with him
since. Also, I had surgery (this is when my son was
still in his youth group) and my son was missing Sunday
school class - wouldn't you think Ric would have come by
to see him or ASK him he if he needed a ride to
Church??? Plus, no one from Church ever came or called
to check on me - even from my Sunday School class. So,
it was time for us to leave this Church.

Doug,.. I am truly
saddened you have been compelled to take the actions in

......Thank you Doug for
what you are doing. The people down there at Prays Mill
haven't been treated mean by him the way you and some
others have, YET. When Mike and the Deacons get mad at
you, you have an enemy for life. They stop at nothing
to hurt you.

Someone needs to study 2
Peter chapter 2: 1-22.
Jesus tells us that we are not to judge one another. I
don't know about you but I hold preachers up very high.
I think they should be the nearest to God than anybody.
They have been chosen by God to lead the flock. They
have no right as Christians or (pastors) to judge
anyone. That is Gods job. We have no right to turn our
backs on someone who falls by the way side because of
sin. We are to forgive them, pray for them and try to
help them find their way back into Gods Grace.
"Supporter"
..... He turns his back
on them and instructs his congregation to turn their
backs on them too. He has instructed the members to not
have anything to do with anyone whom he has dismissed
from the congregation. What is so sad is that some
members of Prays Mill do what he tells them. This is
right the opposite from what God instructs us to do. I
agree with you about the kool aid. Are the members of
Prays Mill drinking the kool aid?
"Supporter"
He try's to discredit the
members he has dismissed by telling them that he will
give them a bad name when they go to join another
church. Should you want proof of this, I can provide it.
It appears that the people at Prays Mill are worshiping
Mike Everson not GOD.

drop you an email and let you know that ... and myself
are completely supportive and stand behind you 100
percent. The Youth Pastor hurt my boys so bad and lied
against my boys so bad that it is a struggle to get them
to attend just a service at church. We've been away
from Prays Mill three years now and you don't see what
goes on until you walk away.......
"Supporter"
....We will definitely
keep you in our prayers, I know this has not been easy
for you or your family.
You know I just don't understand our seniors - I know my
parents and ... think Mike Everson is wonderful. They
know how we feel and it's come to the point we cannot
even discuss Prays Mill with them because our
differences are so strong especially with my
parents...Sometimes I think he's got people
brainwashed. And I wonder if they will ever see the
truth.....

I hope you and your

all the things that have been going on for quite some
time. Last year around this time of year we were
looking around for a different church home and decided
to stay. But I think the Lord is telling us enough is
enough and we may need to be moving on...You and your
family are in our thoughts and prayers.

going on that I don't agree with. A Pastor leads the

Pastor. Sooner or later people's eyes will be

"This
is ....., As a former member of PMBC I must say my heart
hurts for the people who are still so blinded. I hate
the way he laughs things off from the pulpit. I'm sure
they are laughing your letters off like the one C.J.
Ellis laughed off from the pulpit that came out at
Christmas 2005. PMBC was my family's first church home
that we attended faithfully and was happier than we had
ever been. I just can't believe how people can't see
the truth. If I could go back and ask questions this is
what they would be.... "
1."How long are the present members not allowed to speak
to the former members that have been dismissed?
2. Will they be allowed to speak to these members in
heaven or will there be a separate section in heaven for
ONLY the PMBC members?
3. If Mike Everson leaves PMBC, will the present members
be allowed to speak to the former members?"
I agree totally and 100% with what you are doing AND I
wish the best for you and your family.

question: "Is God going to get all the Glory when all is
said and done?"

"As a former member and
descendant of one of the founding fathers of Prays Mill,
It really hurts me to see a church with so many people
who want to serve God being led astray by a few
self-servers. I received my salvation in the summer of
80 at youth camp and was baptized by Brother Don Rhymes
in September of that same year. I felt blessed by being
a part of God's family and being led as a youth by
Spirit filled Teachers, Officers, Deacons and Staff".
"I attend .. and get the same feeling there as I used
to feel at Prays Mill back in the early 80's. A church
who's purpose is to win lost souls for Jesus, "Across
the street and around the world" and feed the sheep in
the flock. We have a family serving our church who left
Pray's Mill. They felt God leading them to serve
elsewhere. They joined our Church by letter. Our
secretary was told that only the Pastor could give out
their letter. When she finally was able to see Mike
Everson he told her he would not give their letter
because they were "undesirable to him". This couple has
been such a blessing to our church and have faithfully
served since they joined us by statement".
"Thanks Doug for revealing the truth"!

....I
have a real problem with church's that "dismiss" people from fellowship.
In my mind, Jesus' original followers were made up the very people that our
church's are "throwing away". It seems that many pastors, deacons and
lay people, want to get rid of any individuals with a savory past of
present......or anyone who lifestyles they deem less than wholesome. They
want their congregations to be made up of "blue blood, blond hair,
blue-eyed" perfect creatures and anyone less cannot be a part. I'm
sorry, my feeling is that that's just " flat wrong". The Church should
be always available and continue to be an accepting and exemplary haven for
all.

"You know, one of the
things that stands out in my mind about him was when he said in one of his
sermons that "a budget does not mean anything, it is just a piece of paper".
He really believed that. It was such a big deal when we did not make the
budget receipts on Sunday, then he says something like that. Why would you
want your kids to hear that? A budget is something we all have to live by,
unless of course you ....... He also said many times that he does not touch
any of the money in that church. What a lie. There is nothing that goes out
without his finger prints on it. He might not lick the stamp, but he
definitely controls where the money goes. I look at the church budget
myself, I can not believe the amount of money that was set aside for things
like "Travel", "Miscellaneous", etc. Not to mention the "Youth Ministers
Budget"...

"...So, we too, are very
concerned for the family members we have attending Prays Mill Baptist
Church. We have seen some of the letters from my mother in law, but not all
of them. I am secretary of a small church, so I was shocked when I saw the
salaries of the church. Again we are a small church, so we don't have the
giant tithes and offerings. And we don't have the giant amounts in our
salaries. But we do what we do to serve our Lord - we want people to see
Jesus in us - not in our material things. I do what I do (Secretary )
because I want to serve the Lord. And I love being a part of my church. We
are a very loving church. We want to help the lost and hurting, lead others
to Jesus and comfort those who have been hurt. Thank you for what you
are doing. Should you need any further information please let me know. May
God's blessing be with you and your family".

happenings at Prays Mill......I was completely shocked and very concerned
with the happenings and things which you have actually been part of. A
friend had previously told me about the pastor's son and the things he was
involved in. In fact, they do not want to use the SS literature which
has been supplied by him but they have no choice. It certainly sounds like
it is time , in fact past time, for this man to hit the highway. I can tell
by your letters that you are a fine Christian man and we have been praying
for you and your family......If you are still looking for a church home, I
would like to invite you and your family to visit our church. We are a
small church but have a wonderful pastor,.....We will continue to lift you
and your family in prayer and I pray that God will bless you today and

of you as a staff member. I know the politics that go one in the SBC

status, stature, and money than winning people to Christ. It really
makes me ashamed to call myself a Baptist. I doubt that I will ever join
another church that is as political as PMBC. I don't know how
successful you can be stopping the politics because that is exactly what it
is "politics". I know that there must be things being said from the pulpit
